The 2:13 Devotional

The Urgency of the Hour

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away. – 1 Corinthians 7:29-31

The time is indeed short. Not only are we living in the last days spoken of in Scripture, but we are very possibly in the last days of our nation’s prosperity. The grave sins or spending our children’s money, of failing to be salt and light, and sacrificing millions of innocent souls to the spirit of the age, will surely bring about grave consequences.

It has long since been time to recognize the coming reckoning, and become a people of prayer. Then and only then will God direct our steps, and possibly, bring about change in our land.
