Kids on a Mission: Helping Hands, Warm Hearts.

This season, our Kids on a Mission are leading two special collections to bless those in need—right here at home and around the world!

Covered in Love: Bring new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to help local families stay warm through the winter.

Christmas Shoeboxes: Partner with us and Samaritan’s Purse to fill Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes with gifts and the Gospel for children across the globe.

It’s a beautiful opportunity to teach our kids the joy of giving and share Christ’s love in practical ways.

🧥Covered in Love:
Warming Families Close to Home

“He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none.” — Luke 3:11

When the temperature drops, many families in our community struggle to stay warm. This year, Kids on a Mission are collecting new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, and gloves for children and adults. Every donation helps provide comfort, warmth, and a reminder of God’s love.

Your simple gift of warmth can make a world of difference this winter. ❤️

What to Donate:

  • New or gently used winter coats (all sizes)

  • Hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens

  • Blankets (optional bonus item if you’d like to extend warmth further)

Drop-off Information:

  • When: 24/7 through November 22nd

  • Where: The Church In Wisconsin by Picnic Tables in  marked bin

  • Goal: to help many families in need with items collected

🎁 Samaritan’s Purse:
Operation Christmas Child

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35

Alongside the Warmth Drive, our Kids on a Mission are also collecting Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes through Samaritan’s Purse.

Each box, filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items, opens the door for a child to hear the Gospel and know the love of Jesus.

Every shoebox is a Gospel opportunity — a tangible expression of Christ’s love sent around the world. 🌍

How You Can Help:

  1. 🎁 Bring in Empty Shoeboxes
We’re collecting sturdy, standard-sized shoeboxes (or plastic shoebox containers) to fill with gifts for children in need.

  2. 🧸 Donate Items for the Boxes
Use the lists on the pictures below for ideas! We’re collecting fun and useful gifts like:

    • Small toys (balls, dolls, cars, jump ropes, etc.)

    • School supplies (notebooks, crayons, pencils, sharpeners)

    • Hygiene items (toothbrushes, soap, washcloths — no liquids)

    • Clothing accessories (socks, hair ties, hats)

    • Personal notes or drawings to brighten a child’s day

  3. 🙌 Encourage Our Kids on a Mission
Our church children will be packing the shoeboxes during a special Kids on a Mission service project!

    • Pray for them as they serve and learn to share Christ’s love.

    • Drop off donated items to support their packing efforts.

    • Consider writing a short note of encouragement to include in the boxes.

  4. ✝️ Pray Over Every Box
Each shoebox is more than a gift — it’s a Gospel opportunity. Pray that every child who receives a box will encounter the love and salvation of Jesus Christ.

Drop-off Information:

  • When: Sundays & Wednesdays through November 1st

  • Where: The Church In Wisconsin lobby / marked bins near the sign up table

  • Goal: Enough items to send 25 boxes collected by November 1st.

Why It Matters

Every small gift adds up to an eternal impact. Your participation helps teach our children the joy of giving and reminds them that they can play a vital role in God’s global mission — no matter their age! Let’s collect these warm gifts of love and fill these shoeboxes with love, laughter, and the message of the Gospel. ❤️
