“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: ²The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. ³Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jn. 3:1-3

Jesus in a sense was saying to Nicodemus, “you don’t really know what you think you know; you are limited in what you see and hear.” I believe this is the reason Nicodemus sought out the Lord, because he wanted to see, hear and know the truth. Religion cannot offer that, only the Lord Jesus Christ can. Do you really see, hear and know Him?
