“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jn. 10:10
What a contrast between Jesus and the devil. The devil offers complete destruction, and Jesus offers abundant life. Notice there is no middle ground? Christians should not be just getting by another day, they should not live a ho hum existence. I am not denying that we will face trials, but it is only a believer that can in the midst of a trial be living an abundant life. If a billionaire was thrown in jail for twenty years, would he still not have his billions of dollars? So too, if a believer is under persecution does he have any less of Jesus?
