Terry Fischer

Senior Pastor

Email: fischerofmen1@gmail.com

Terry was born in Milwaukee and raised in the city of Saint Francis. At the age of 21, Terry married Joy. Within six years they had three sons, a home, a business and we’re living the American dream. In August of 1983, Terry hired a man who led him to the Lord. Terry started out attending an Assembly of God Church in Bay View, Wisconsin by himself, but after a few months Joy got saved and joined him in serving the Lord.

Terry quickly became an eager servant of the Lord and involved himself in many of the ministries at the church. Though he was busy with church duties, he didn’t realize that he had slowly become mediocre in his relationship with the Lord. That mediocrity was revealed to him in the spring of 1997 when he experienced a powerful revival.  Through his personal revival, he sensed the call of God in his life for the ministry. Though he didn’t know the specifics of that call, he began to prepare for whatever God had for him to do.

In 1998 Terry left his church to join a small church in South Milwaukee, WI. It was there that he began being mentored for the ministry. In 1999 he received some credentials with the Church of God (Cleveland, Tn).

In 2002, Terry and Joy left that small church of God and joined an independent church that a friend of their’s had started six years earlier, located in West Allis, WI. In late summer of 2001, the pastor announced he was leaving the church and ministry; and on January 27, 2002 the elders of the church laid hands on Terry and ordained him as the new pastor of the church. On December 31st that same year, a building was purchased for their new church home.

On December 30, 2016, the Church in Wisconsin relocated to the city of Muskego, WI, where they currently reside.

Terry has a vision to see true unity and power come once again to Christ’s church. He believes God is raising up a remnant right now who will be a demonstration of Spirit and power.

Terry and Joy have been married since 1977 and have three sons and eleven grandchildren. They reside in the Village of Waukesha, WI.

Tyler Bessa

Associate Pastor/Elder

Email: pastortyler@tciwchurch.org

Raised in the church since he was six years old, Tyler chose to make Jesus His Lord and Savior at a very young age. In his early 30’s after years of wrestling with his faith in Christ and seeking for a simple understanding of what God desires for His church, Tyler arrived at a crossroads of decision in his life. This crucial time led to a greater and deeper walk with God than Tyler had ever experienced before in his life.

In his ministry, Tyler desires very much to see God’s people seek after God with all their heart, continually drawing nearer to Him. “As Christ increases in His people and His church, they will be overcome by the life of Christ and His Holy Spirit. They will see more of Jesus and less of themselves, living an ever-increasing life of victory.”

Tyler began pastoral ministry in January 2020, ordained and serving as associate pastor under Pastor Terry Fischer. Tyler met his wife, Kimberly, at the age of 6 when they attended Sunday School together. They were married in 1997 and have four adult children: Emily, Tyler Jr, Caleb, & Joshua. They are blessed with two granddaughters through Emily and her husband Nicholas, as God’s grace shines upon their family.

Joe Kaye

Elder/Adult Education

After becoming a Christian at the age of 14, Joe sensed the Lord’s call to Bible teaching, and encouraging and edifying the saints. He currently teaches the Sunday morning Bible class. He is especially passionate about helping believers to understand all of what it means to be in Christ (Ephesians 2:6), particularly in overcoming strongholds, temptation and fear.

He has been married to his wonderful wife, Elaine, since 1997.

Joe’s favorite verse is Philippians 2:13, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

Joe has been an elder at the church since 2021.

Jeremy Brown

Elder/Worship Leader & Director of Men's Ministry

Jeremy was raised in a small Pentecostal church in the Bay View area and was saved as a young child. He’s been serving the church in worship for more than twenty years and became an elder at The Church In Wisconsin in early 2021.

Jeremy has a strong desire to encourage discipleship and instill the importance of true fellowship in the members of the body. No part of the body can survive separated from the whole.

His heart for worship is that the body would be led by the Holy Spirit to glorify God in the coming together of the congregation.

Jeremy has been married since 2003 to his amazing wife, Raven, and he’s father to eight beautiful children; Maximus, Silas, Jocelyn, Jovi, Cecelia, Wren, Titus and Hawk.

“As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend” Proverbs 27:17

Apryl Fischer

Director of Children’s Ministries

Apryl is a wife and mom of two. She grew up in the Assemblies of God where she was taught biblical truth. When she was 8 years old she gave her life to the Lord. While she was not perfect, Apryl was a “good” kid and tried to live right in God’s eyes. She was, however, lacking God’s power and revelation.

That changed when her husband was revived in May of 2005. When the Lord changed him, he slowly worked on Apryl’s heart as well. Then at the age of 38 while seeking the Lord Apryl was flooded with the presence of God and filled with his love. This fresh revelation of the Lords love has birthed a desire in her for the kids in this ministry to know the Lord like this now. That would know, like really know in their hearts how loved they are by God and then to share that love with those around them.

Today Apryl loves the Lord with her whole heart and desires to be a light in this world. Children have a special place in her heart.

Apryl has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Waukesha Area Technical College. She has worked in schools and spent years working in a daycare until she had her daughter. After her daughter was born she spent 5 years doing in home daycare also.

When her daughter was two years old the Lord started putting homeschooling on Apryl’s heart even though she had previously vowed she would never do that. She did obey that calling though, and has been homeschooling her two kids since her daughter was three years old. It has turned out to be one of the biggest blessings.

Children are so special to God and its our job to raise them and be a Godly example to them. Nothing is more precious than a child.

Matthew 19:14 – Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”

Proverbs 22:6 – Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it

3 John 1:4 – I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Kimberly Bessa

Church Administrator

Kimberly was raised in the church from birth. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of 5 and has served Him ever since. Kimberly has served the church in several ways over the years. She has been singing as a part of the church worship team since she was 16 years old and was an integral part of the youth group through her teen years.

Kimberly started serving in various ways through women’s ministries in her early 20s and began leading women’s ministries at TCIW in 2018. Her vision for the women of our church is to fulfill God’s desire as laid out in Titus 2:3-5. In her love of ministering to women and fellowshipping with them, she wants to encourage those older and mature in the Lord to come alongside the younger and newer believers.

Kimberly also serves as the church administrator, helping to facilitate the day to day needs of the pastors and to communicate & coordinate various functions and activities of the church.

Kimberly has been married to Pastor Tyler since 1997 and has raised their four adult children while running a business from her home. They are blessed with two granddaughters.

Aaron Fischer

Evangelist

Aaron is a husband and father of two and business owner. While those jobs are important, his most important job is doing the work of the Lord. Aaron grew up in the Assemblies of God and his parents were great Christian examples to him. While Aaron was taught and given much truth he knew something was missing.

Then on May 22, 2005 an Evangelist came to his Dads church and while Aaron was only there to drum God had a bigger plan. The Evangelist preached on the Harlot women of Proverbs 5 and how when she kisses you, you feel something. This message had Aaron broken at the altar and is the moment he got revived, surrendering his life to the Lord. He shared this good news with almost everyone he knew, leading some to the Lord and angering others. After a short time he felt a calling from God on his life and while he didn’t know exactly what that looked like he knew he was willing to do whatever the Lord asked of him. This calling has lead him to preaching at his church and other like minded churches in the Midwest.

Marie McGeorge

Director Of Women's Ministry

Marie has been attending The Church in Wisconsin for 13 years. She was saved as a child and has been working out her salvation ever since. Marie and her husband, Joe, have been married for 20 years and have four beautiful children together.

Marie is passionate about women walking wholeheartedly after the Lord; seeing them passionate for the Lord and His will for their lives is one of her greatest joys. She’ll never grow tired of watching the Lord save and sanctify those who respond to Him in faith.

Marie began Rise Up in 2022 for women who desired to leave nominal Christianity behind to pursue true, committed discipleship. The women meet bi-weekly to worship, share, and pray for one another. Beginning in fall of 2024, the women of Rise Up will begin studying books of the Bible as a group as they pursue Biblical literacy together. Marie prays the group study will increase understanding of scripture, faith in the One scripture speaks of, and growing love for the Lord in each heart.
