“That This People May Know”
Sunday Morning Service 06/01/2025
Senior Pastor Terry Fischer

“Communion is not a casual ritual; it’s a sacred act of remembering the price Jesus paid for us.” Pastor Terry Fischer
Sermon Recap: That This People May Know
This Sunday, we gathered to remember the sacrifice and victory of Jesus through communion, celebrating the unity we share as His redeemed people.
We Remember the Cross
Pastor taught that communion is a sacred act of remembrance, not a casual ritual. It is a time for the redeemed to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, honoring Him for purchasing us with His blood.
Jesus didn’t die just because He loves us, but to fulfill the Father’s will, demonstrating perfect love for the Father and for us.
The Only Way to the Father
We were reminded that Jesus is the only way to salvation:
No one can come to the Father except through Him.
There is no other gate, no other method, no other price that could purchase our freedom from sin.
The High Cost of Redemption
We were bought with the highest price in the universe—the blood of Jesus.
Gold, silver, and earthly wealth cannot purchase a soul; only Jesus’ blood can cleanse and redeem.
His body was broken and His blood shed to save us from sin, hell, and ourselves.
Communion and Unity
“Communion” contains “union.” As we take the bread and cup:
We proclaim that we are united in Christ.
We remember that Jesus’ body was broken and His blood poured out for us.
We are called to examine ourselves, repenting of any idolatry, and ensuring our hearts are right before the Lord.
Living in the Power of the Cross
Jesus’ sacrifice makes us holy by the work of the Holy Spirit.
We are called to live in gratitude, remembering we are redeemed people, cleansed, forgiven, and reconciled to God.
We are urged to keep Jesus first, seeking Him above all and letting His finished work transform how we live.
“Without Jesus, we have nothing. With Him, we have everything.”
Key Takeaway:
We are called to remember the cross, live in unity as the redeemed, and walk in holiness because Jesus paid the ultimate price to bring us into fellowship with the Father.
