The 2:13 Devotional

There is no Fate, there is Only God
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
John 9:1-3
Chance and fate do not exist in the kingdom of God. There is only the exercise of God’s power in ways that are sometimes mysterious to us. When God says “all things work together for good,” he means all things!
God created a blind man so that his amazing testimony of healing would be recorded for generations of believers to read. And God created you, and your situation, to demonstrate his power, wisdom and love.
Joseph in Egypt declared to his family that his troubles were God’s way of bringing deliverance to them all (Gen 45:1-8; 50:18-20).
Don’t just stew over your trials. Declare by faith that your sovereign Lord will use them for good, and that you will one day thank God for them! In fact, you can do that now.
