You Are the Primary Disciple-Maker

At our church, we believe parents are the primary disciple-makers in their children’s lives. Children’s ministry is designed to support and partner with families—not replace what God is already doing at home.

Discipleship doesn’t require long lessons, perfect prayers, or Bible degrees. For children ages 3–12, faith grows best through simple, consistent moments of connection woven into everyday life.

This one-year guide offers monthly Parent Discipleship Moments—each with one Scripture, one encouragement, and one easy practice you can use right away.

Our hope is to help you feel confident, encouraged, and supported as you walk with your child in faith.

Month 1 January: You Are the Primary Disciple-Maker

Scripture:

“Always remember these commands that I give you today. Be sure to teach them to your children. Talk about these commands when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road. Talk about them when you lie down and when you get up.”
Deuteronomy 6:6–7

God designed faith to grow in homes, conversations, and daily rhythms. You don’t have to have all the answers—you simply need to be present and intentional.

Try This: Ask your child one faith question each day:
